Our society has become so accustom to instant gratification that in that respect are no thoughts that run through our minds when making such decisions. Our biggest concerns are how much it impart cost and who will find out. At what point is the weight of this decision realised?When do we realize that we are taking a life? For this specific reason there are people who boldly stand against spontaneous abortion. Truly children are a gift from the Lord the fruit of the womb is a reward (Psalm 1273 KJV). There are many verses in the bible that explains how children are considerable gifts and should be cherished and welcomed into the world. The perform has st epped in to remind us how gracious the gift of life really is. The religious war on abortion cannot be easily defined. Although people are religious and may fear God, the issue is that there are no consequences during life.There is only a threat that people who have or perform abortions will go to hell in the after life. The churches only weapon is excommunication where they limit a persons social station or exile them from the church. Others believed that Doctors led lawmakers to treat abortion. This was their way of taking control of the p ractice. Many abortions were performed by female practitioners in womens homes.To get those women to get back into doctors offices they claimed that their main objective was to protect women from the monstrous abortion techniques practiced outside of the office. After these laws were put into place abortions were to be performed by doctors only after they determine if the pregnancy would endanger the mother or child. When it comes to assistance it doesnt seem that the church has much to offer but it does seem that they are quick to judge. Researching this paper has enlightened me on abortion. I didnt know that there were so many deaths involved with illegal abortions. I mainly focused on what has happened in the United States. Digging deeper I found that there are still many countries that have not yet legalized abortion.Cuba and Guyana are the only countries in Central and South America that are allowed to practice abortion. In this area there are over four million illegal abortions done every year even though this region is the biggest Roman Catholic region in the world. Women who are well off are able to use large sums of money to get into professionals offices. While poor women take the risk of having abortions below medical standards. After already going through the trauma of an awful procedure when these women are taken to the hospi tal they are questioned and then often thrown in jail awaiting trial or even convicted.There have even been convictions in the United States for performing late-term abortions. Most states prohibit abortions after viability or the point when a fetus can survive outside the womb. Viability is often around 28 weeks but at 21 weeks the fetus has already developed all its variety meat and body structures. I have never had an abortion and hope that it is never a decision I will have to struggle with. I am very safe and take the proper precautions that will save me and my unborn child. There is so much that is readily available for us, condoms, birth control, and abstinence summation many other ways to protect ourselves.Although I agree that the procedure should be available, I also believe that they should know and exhaust all options. in the end I cannot give a stern opinion on the matter. Friar Lawrence grows a magnificent garden which he tends to during the time in which he is not fulfilling his church duties. He speaks to Romeo about a plant that can be used for healing or as poison. This addression leads into a speech by Friar Lawrence about people having a good side and a bad side like the flower he spoke of. This suggests that he has a background in philosophy. The friar is also very kind and peace loving. He is speaks to Romeo as if they are best friends and Romeo seems to really enjoy being around the friar.They laugh, joke, and discuss Romeos love life showing that Romeo is very comfortable around the friar. The friar is an all-around good guy. In the drama Friar Lawrence acts as a foil to both the Capulets and the Montaques. The two houses show no signs of attempting to make peace with one another they dont even seem to really know what their feud is about. Friar Lawrence states that he hopes the marriage of Romeo and Juliet will bring an end to their quarrel. The friar on the other hand is very articulate. He can get his message across using few words and he speaks very eloquently.The friar obviously has a huge vocabulary. The nurses speech also brings up another issue her lack of education. If the nurse had any form of higher level education she would be much more concise in her address. The friar has obviously had some higher education because of his huge vocabulary and his vast knowledge of plants and his philosophical discussions. The nurse does not discuss subjects that would be considered proper. When she is speaking to Rome o she talks about Juliets large dowry. This is not something that would be discussed in fourteenth century.Friar Lawrence has never discussed anything that would be considered improper and has always seemed to have a polite manner about him. The difference between the nurse and the friar is like night and day. Friar Lawrence is definitely educated, wise, kind, and knowledgeable. He shows it over and over once more in the play. He is undoubtedly a foil to the Capulets, Montaques, and the nurse. The friar is a well-respected member of the community and a spiritual leader. He is a one-of-a-kind character and the town of Verona would indefinitely suffer without him.

In the other characters in the play, the ones who are not yet married, that is Hermia and Helena, they are full of anticipation to get married but both had to first experience what it was like to not have their counterpart and suffere through the period of not being love neither of the men truly suffer in A Midsummer Nights Dream, which suggests that Shakespeares female characters must prove their love, while the men of the play have no such duties.The difference then between the marriad and the unmarried woman in A Midsummer Nights Dream is that the unmarried women must convince the men that they are loved while the married woman, Titania, must re-learn obedience.The theme of love is envisioned well in this play as Shakespeare chooses to focus on the bureau of love through marriage as a tool of union. In union is found the relevance of transisiton. The characters in A Midsummer Nights Dream only become fully sensible of their own intentions and feelings after they are given the drug from Puke and spend the night in the forest. In these desires in the morning the women are quieted because they feel as though they have seen the measure of their desire reflected in their male counterparts and as such it is only through marriage that they may be tamed. Thus, Shakespeares female characters are revealed to be counterparts.This essay has argued for the interpretation of Shakespeares characters in A Midsummer Nights Dream to be the classical female archetypes such as wife, or lover.
